Serengeti National Park

Location: Northern Tanzania, bordering Kenya’s Maasai Mara

Size: ~14,763 km²

Serengeti is world-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, involving over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras. It hosts the highest concentration of predators in Africa and features diverse landscapes such as endless plains, woodlands, and rocky outcrops (kopjes). It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a top safari destination in Africa.

Best Time to Visit:
– June to October (dry season) for general game viewing
– December to March for the calving season in the southern Serengeti
